Miles and Philippa Hackett run a landscape business and needed a garden office to run their expanding business from. After much research Gordon Hackett Designs Ltd opted for Homelodge and we set about designing a garden lodge which not only would complement their ambitious landscape plans but also provide a perfect working environment all year round.

To that end their Homelodge included a wall of glass with screen double doors in the centre. This is a lovely feature and has really helped to make the building feel a part of the garden whether standing outside or working inside and looking out. Although all our lodges are fantastically well insulated this amount of glazing can create solar gain and therefore we introduced air-conditioning and blinds to maintain the optimum environment for this home office.

This Homelodge Classic 5.4 only took three days to install and no sooner had we finished Miles & Philippa set to work implementing their plans to redesign the entire garden. They have finished with something truly special, dividing up a long narrow garden into a number of themes. It is a fascinating and educational walk down the garden until you reach the final feature the Homelodge at the rear of the garden.

Miles and Philippa's company, Gordon Hackett Designs Ltd aims to ‘specialise in turning the ordinary into the extraordinary - taking an outdoor space and filling it with all the wonderful sights and scents that nature's palette provides - creating a truly original extension to your living area.’ For more information on their service visit their website.
