ADVANCE NOTICE: WINCHESTER MP and MAYOR TO SUPPORT AWARD WINNING WINCHESTER SMALL BUSINESS

On Friday 10th September Mark Oaten MP (Liberal Democrat Shadow Home Secretary) will officiate at a grand opening of the 500th timber lodge built by award winning local business, Homelodge Buildings Ltd.

The event will take place at the Winchester show-site (click here for directions). A number of local dignitaries will attend, including the Mayor of Winchester, councillor Cecily Sutton.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 12 noon. The formalities are expected to last about an hour.

This is a double celebration, to honour Homelodge’s recent achievements as winners of the Winchester Business Excellence Awards, 2004 ‘Best Small Business’ on top of their success as Winners of National Gardening Awards, UK Style.

The opening ceremony marks the start of an open weekend (11-12th September), when the show site will be open to the general public.

Homelodge has created a unique design-and-build formula for providing affordable extra living space. The award-winning concept has also been successfully adopted by many local authorities.
