Boosting primary school occupancy and income

A self-contained pre-school or nursery building within the grounds of a primary school can provide a feeder that boosts your intake each year. You can also generate income by having a nursery building double up as a meeting room for breakfast and after-school clubs, the PTA, musical and other community groups. Because it is self-contained, you can host these gatherings without having to heat or light your main building.

Fast to build

By constructing our modular buildings off-site we can complete a project in weeks, often outside school term time, which means less disruption if you are adding a nursery facility to an existing school. Sure-Start Experience

We have designed and built nurseries, crèches, therapy rooms and adult training centres to support the Government’s Sure Start programme, and also for the Neighbourhood Nurseries scheme, so you can be assured we can advise you on the best approach.

A permanent solution

Our buildings are fully insulated for permanent, all-year-round use. We offer high-impact internal cladding to withstand daily wear and tear, to make sure your nursery or crèche building still looks great after years of use.

Should any problems occur within the first year our guarantee will cover the entire installation. Thereafter, to keep your new crèche or nursery building in optimum condition, we encourage you to take advantage of our on-going external maintenance contract which includes scheduled visits to inspect and redecorate the external timbers of your building. Taking out the maintenance contract also gives you further peace of mind with a ten year guarantee on the external fabric of your Homelodge building. In fact Faith & Gould in a report to Kent County Council have stated that if our external material is stained every 7 years (we do 6 years under our contract agreement) the walls should be durable for at least 60 years.

Heating: under-floor heating or low surface temperature heaters, heat pumps, biomass boilers and renewables
Doors: we can provide finger guards and security features for all doors
Wet play areas: anti-slip flooring and temperature controlled hot water taps
Flexible heights for sinks, toilets and benches: we can install art sinks at different heights for children and adults and those with accessibility needs.
