Although the building exterior looks like a traditional bricks and mortar construction, the structure is actually a standard modular timber framed building. By creating the connecting passage, which was integrated with the existing main school building, and then finishing the exterior in a combination of wood cladding and brick slips we were able to blend in perfectly with the existing site. The result was a seamless extension of their facilities, adding 2 additional classrooms. Because the building was manufactured off-site at our factory, when compared with a brick built structure, the time to install was significantly reduced, as were the costs.

We will provide all the support you need to ensure the building is complete and ready to move in from the moment you receive the keys, and our cost-effective maintenance contracts will give you complete peace of mind. Compliant with all regulationsWe can also advise you on the latest standards and regulations to ensure that your school provides access for all, has enough space for each child and offers all the appropriate facilities. We cut through all the ‘red tape’ for you too as we understand the unique requirements associated with Local Authority procurement, capital funding, PVI partnering, and both public and private sector organisations.
A permanent solutionOur buildings are fully insulated for permanent, all-year-round use. We offer high-impact internal cladding to withstand daily wear and tear, to make sure your school building still looks great after years of use. Should any problems occur within the first year our guarantee will cover the entire installation. Thereafter, to keep your new school building in optimum condition, we encourage you to take advantage of our on-going external maintenance contract which includes scheduled visits to inspect and redecorate the external timbers of your building. Taking out the maintenance contract also gives you further peace of mind with a ten year guarantee on the external fabric of your Homelodge building. In fact Faith & Gould in a report to Kent County Council have stated that if our external material is stained every 7 years (we do 6 years under our contract agreement) the walls should be durable for at least 60 years.
Enhancing incomeInstalling a kitchen in addition to your classroom will allow you to create a multi-functional permanent building allowing you to rent out your Homelodge to generate income from breakfast clubs, after-school club meetings, the PTA, musical and other community groups. Because your building is self-contained, you can host these gatherings without having to heat or light your main building.
