Our buildings, by contrast, have vaulted ceilings and full-length windows to provide a beautiful, light and airy space, and create an environment that is warm and welcoming. We can customise the external appearance of your new building to blend in with any setting, whether you have a rural backdrop, an historic site, or a modern purpose-built urban development.

Fast to build

Because we construct our modular buildings off-site we can complete the building project in weeks, which means minimal disruption if you are adding a village hall or community facility to an existing or busy site. With Homelodge, your hall or community centre building is up and running much faster than traditional brick-built structures, typically saving you many months.

Internal and external appearance

We have a wide range of materials and colours – from subtle rural shades to bright contemporary. Internally you can choose whether you create a calming or sophisticated modern environment.

A permanent solution

Our buildings are fully insulated for permanent, all-year-round use. We offer high-impact internal cladding to withstand daily wear and tear, to make sure your community center or village hall still looks great after years of use.
 
Should any problems occur within the first year our guarantee will cover the entire installation.  Thereafter, to keep your new village hall or community centre building in optimum condition, we encourage you to take advantage of our on-going external maintenance contract which includes scheduled visits to inspect and redecorate the external timbers of your building.  Taking out the maintenance contract also gives you further peace of mind with a ten year guarantee on the external fabric of your Homelodge building.  In fact Faith & Gould in a report to Kent County Council have stated that if our external material is stained every 7 years (we do 6 years under our contract agreement) the walls should be durable for at least 60 years.
 

Designed for your community

Our design and build service guides you through all of the following options to make sure your new community building meets your specific needs:
  • Alternative external cladding and colour schemes: use subtle tones to blend into a rural environment, conservation area, or historic site, or bold primary colours for a modern appearance or brick slip options.
  • Wide range of internal colours: create a calming environment, or a vibrant one if you prefer
  • Range of canopies: covered walkways, entrances, outdoor activity areas or integrated smoking shelter. This is also an ideal feature to expand your options and offer covered areas to cater for larger functions like wedding parties.
  • Separate office areas for privacy
  • Fully equipped kitchen with hatches to main room or exterior
  • Flexible purpose built storage spaces to suit all users of the building
  • Moveable folding internal partitioning, for flexibility of space, to cater for multiple functions at the same time
  • Heating: under-floor heating or low surface temperature heaters, heat pumps, biomass boilers and renewables
  • Doors: we can provide finger guards and security features for all doors
  • Wet areas: anti-slip flooring and temperature controlled hot water taps
  • Flexible heights for sinks and toilets: we can install art sinks at different heights for children and adults and those with accessibility needs.
  • Additional security features: choose from roller shutters, security and fire alarm systems, high impact glass and solid doors.
  • Additional fittings: for notice and display boards
  • Additional outside ammenities to suit your use including: sinks and taps, drinking fountians, lights and sockets
