Our buildings, by contrast, have vaulted ceilings and full-length windows to provide a beautiful, light and airy space, and create an environment that is calming and welcoming for students of all ages.

We can customise the external appearance of your new building to blend in with any setting, whether your existing school is a classic period building or a modern purpose-built development.

Fast to build - Because we construct our modular buildings off-site we can complete the building project in weeks, which means minimal disruption so your new school building is up and running far sooner then with a traditional bricks and mortar building solution, often during school holidays.

External appearance - We are delighted to offer any external cladding you would prefer - whether this is timber, masonry or engineered boarding for the walls or slate, cedar of asphalt shingles/tiles for the roof and windows and doors can be timber or aluminium.

Compliant with all regulations - We can also advise you on the latest standards and regulations to ensure that your school provides access for all, has enough space for each child and offers all the appropriate facilities. We cut through all the ‘red tape’ for you too as we understand the unique requirements associated with Local Authority procurement, capital funding, PVI partnering, and both public and private sector organisations.

A permanent solution - Our buildings are fully insulated for permanent, all-year-round use. We offer high-impact internal cladding to withstand daily wear and tear, to make sure your school building still looks great after years of use.

Our guarantee to you - The Homelodge construction method meets Building Regulations, meaning that they are built to recognised housing standards entirely suitable for permanent occupation.  Security is important too and windows feature lockable casements and doors have the five-lever mortice locks required by most insurance companies.

But we go further than simply meeting regulations.  Should any problem occur within the first year our guarantee will cover the entire installation and an unconditional 10 year guarantee on the structure of the Homelodge.

To keep your Homelodge in optimum condition, we encourage you to take advantage of our on-going external maintenance contract which includes scheduled visits.  Taking out the maintenance contract also gives you further peace of mind with a ten year guarantee on the external fabric of the building.

Enhancing income - Installing a kitchen in addition to your classroom will allow you to create a multi-functional permanent building allowing you to rent out your Homelodge to generate income from breakfast clubs, after-school club meetings, the PTA, musical and other community groups. Because your building is self-contained, you can host these gatherings without having to heat or light your main building.

Designed for schools - Our design and build service guides you through all of the following options to make sure your new school building meets your specific needs:

  • Alternative external cladding and colour schemes: use subtle tones to blend into a rural environment, or bold primary colours for a modern appearance or traditional bricks or brick slip options.
  • Wide range of internal colours: create a calming environment, or a vibrant one if you prefer
  • Range of canopies: covered walkways, entrances and outdoor activity areas
  • Separate office area for privacy
  • Heating: under-floor heating or low surface temperature heaters, heat pumps, biomass boilers and renewables
  • Doors: we can provide finger guards and security features for all doors
  • Wet areas: anti-slip flooring and temperature controlled hot water taps
  • Flexible heights for sinks and toilets: we can install art sinks at different heights for children and adults and those with accessibility needs.
  • Additional security features: choose from roller shutters, security and fire alarm systems, high impact glass and solid doors.
  • Additional fittings: for notice and display boards, coat pegs and lockers.
  • Additional outside amenities to suit your use including: sinks and taps, drinking fountains, lights and sockets

We are delighted with the style of our Homelodge building.
