We offer a range of garden annexes that are designed bespoke to suit the individual needs of you and your relatives, because we know that it is a big decision to consider looking after a relative and it can have a considerable impact on their lifestyle and that of you and your family.
Your largest consideration will probably be the question of accommodating them in their senior years, with the minimum disruption and the maximum comfort. In the UK, more people are looking after their elderly parents than ever, but it is often not practical or comfortable for either party to alter the main residence to accommodate them, and the cost of nursing/care homes can be prohibitive. At Homelodge we have the perfect solution. For over 35 years, we’ve been designing and manufacturing luxury, highly insulated granny annexe mobile homes. A garden home to live in without planning permission ticks all the boxes.
By choosing one of our granny or grandpa annexes that are self-contained and separate from your main dwelling, you can offer them both independence and privacy, with the peace of mind of being within easy reach.
Our self-contained annexes are perfect for a wide variety of different living situations and are not prescriptive to just one age group.
For example, while the most popular use of a Homelodge annexe is to assist in caring for an elderly or unwell loved one, we also cater to the graduate market with so called ‘Graddy Annexes.’
Our lodges are a fantastic solution to help children returning from university or college save on rent, while allowing them to continue living freely away from the main house and maintaining your personal space in the home. Additionally, you retain an asset once your child moves away permanently, which can be utilised as guest accommodation during holidays or as a personal workspace.

All our Homelodge annexes are designed to comply with the Mobile Home Act and surpass the insulating requirements of BS3632:2015, ensuring your lodge remains comfortable and cosy all year round. The lodges are made of prefabricated panels that are manufactured by our team in our Hampshire factory, before being transported as by lorry to location. There, our ground works team will have prepared the everything so the lorry can be unloaded, and our friendly site team can get to work erecting the annexe.
